My mate Mark emailed me with a great deal on a shed. It’s from the Shed Store which to be honest i’d never even heard of but what a bargain.
I didn’t want something too big and i’d previously been looking around a few garden centers at 6ft x 6ft types but they seemed expensive at £300 +. Allotments always have sheds but there usually pretty big buildings made up of any old timber and tin sheets, resembling the types you see in shanty towns. I don’t have the energy to start hunting round for old bits of wood and metal sheet to build my own so i plumbed for one you’d normally buy for the back garden.
£350 worth of 6 x 8 ft shed for £199 is a bargain in shed terms and that includes everything including delivery, so out came the credit card and all going well will be here before the weekend.
Now i’m going to have to lay some more paving slabs ![]()

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI imagine it’ll be the latted garden type for that sort of money, but will do a job for storage.
Make sure you put plenty of Cuprinol on it as they don’t usually come treated and it’ll help stop it rotting.
If your also putting it directly onto concrete slabs it might be an idea to elevate it slightly off the ground to stop the floor rotting and rats knawing away at it. Of course that depends how thick the floor is.
