iTunes Goes Video
Wow! iTunes 4.8 now plays video and some people believe this is paving the way for a iTVS (iTunes Video Store). Which makes me think the iPod Video is coming as well. Make sense to do it as we drive towards that one almighty gadget that does it all.
Loading quicktime movies (i have not tried any other format yet) is a breeze, just simple drag and drop your movie onto your iTunes icon or library and that’s it.

Video appears in the bottom left hand corner of your iTunes jukebox and a new icon to the right of the standard buttons allows you to watch full screen. Basically i just dragged my mouse along the edge of the frame and sized accordingly.
Although playing video in a jukebox is hardly revolutionary, its the fact that when Apple do something like this it usually means there’s something new in the offering which gets my attention.

So far so good
After a few weeks using my iPod Shuffle it would appear my other traditional iPods have become somewhat redundant.
I was always curious as to why Apple didn’t bring the Shuffle to the masses earlier and now I think I know why. I mean its small and compact, light as a feather, holds enough songs to keep you happy and for some reason seems to sound better than my other iPods (5GB & 20GB).
I rarely have to charge the battery and it just fits into life so much easier than the bigger models. Mind you I still notice plenty in the shops which was not the case with its big brother, so its either taking time to catch on, everybody’s spent up on the bigger ipods or the bubbles burst.
