Having been Google-eyed for sometime now, i took a quick look in Yahoo and saw some really cool stuff in there.

I used to think Yahoo had lost the plot but they certainly seem to be getting their act together lately. One feature which i like is “My Web” which is similar to Furl and Del.icio.us were you open an account and on spotting a cool web page, simply post the page to your account. Doing this gives other members the opportunity of seeing what you like. A kind of “social bookmarking” for want of a better description. This also encourages you to go and look at what other people are looking at which helps you discover more cool stuff.

So it kind of takes the web to a new level as search engines are only good at finding what you already know about. This way you discover more and keeps it all interesting.

This has also been incorporated in Yahoo’s search results now, as can be seen by the red circle, meaning you can simply click on a site of interest and it automatically goes into your Yahoo My Web account.

And of course now Yahoo have Del.icio.us, the sky’s the limit (fingers crossed).
